After 10 years out of action, D9524, (aka 14 901,) stands at the east end of the EHR on a test run. This unique "Teddy Bear" was repowered from Paxman and currently has a 640bhp Rolls-Royce DV8TCE prime mover. It is planned to be in operation for the EHR's diesel gala over 30-31 August.
