Class 143 units are rare in Malvern and pairs doubly so. On 10th September 2008, 143603 and 143621 run into Malvern Link whilst working 1Z94, 12:41 Bristol TM to Great Malvern, running in the path of the 09:00 from Brighton. The service had been re-started at Bristol using spare sets due to the late-running of the incoming leg.
