REPAINTED CLASS 47 APPEARS FROM EASTLEIGH

The first of two Class 47/7 locomotives to be outshopped from Eastleigh Work returned to the network on 19th March.
Class 47s Nos. 47739 and 47749 City of Truro have both been repainted by Arlington Fleet Services, with the latter machine gaining BR blue livery, while the former has been outshopped in GBRf blue colours. Both will be based at Leicester specially for GBRf Rail Service moves of rolling stock. Both also have the new GBRf Rail Services logos applied to be cab sides. These locomotives, along with classmate No. 47727, have been fitted with onboard translator equipment and Dellner couplings for hauling unit stock moves.
The company are also to make use of the two Class 50 Alliance locomotives, Nos. 50007 Hercules and 50049 Definance for occasional vehicle movements.
