The latest member of the Class 69 fleet to be painted has been outshopped from Eastleigh Works in an attractive mock-'Western' style livery.

Class 69 No. 69009, which spent the end of last year operating in revenue-earning service while in undercoat, moved to Eastleigh earlier this month for its main livery to be applied. The locomotive was outshopped on 23rd February in all over maroon with small yellow warning panels and white cab window surrounds, along with cast number plates and 'Western Consort' nameplates.
