On 27th November 2024, Class 37s Nos. 37510 'Orion' and 37407 'Blackpool Tower' with two barrier coaches, pass through Abbotswood, returning to Derby RTC, having earlier taken the first stored Class 175 DMU from Ely to Laira for further use by GWR to replace the 'Castle' class HSTs.
