The East Lancashire Railway held its Autumn Diesel Gala over the weekend of 13th thru 15th September 2024. A visit on 14th September noted Class 56 No. 56006, working in top and tail mode with Class 40 No. 40012 Aureol and Class 37 No. 37109, as it approached Burrs Country Park while working the 13:50 Bury Bolton St - Rawtenstall service noting that No. 56006 was operated under restricted power being limited to 1,000 amps.
