At Middleton, south Leeds former Mersey Docks and Harbour Board diesel sentinel 45 awaits its next duties. It was built locally at Hudswell Clark in Hunslet in 1966 and is preserved on the Middleton Railway (which dates from 1758, prior to locomotive traction being invented, and is the oldest extant stretch of railway in the World).
