GBRF Class 69 No. 69004, with Colas Class 66/8 No. 66849 and two Freightliner Class 66 Nos.66523 and 66565 in tow, has just passed under the Basingstoke Canal Aqueduct at Deepcut on 22nd July 2024 with the afternoon engineers working from Hoo Junction Up Yard to Eastleigh East Yard. Besides the 66s the consist included loaded box wagons of spent ballast and sleepers following a weekend track possesssion.
