On the 16th January 1994, the 1240 Leeds to King's Cross service failed north of Doncaster and 'Thunderbird' Class 47/6 No. 47673 'Galloway Princess' was sent to the rescue. On arrival at Doncaster No. 47673 is photographed waiting release with Class 90 No. 90024 being provided to haul the train forward.
