A pair of Unrebuilt Battle of Britain Class Bulleid Pacific locomotives with No. 34072 '257 Squadron' piloting No. 34070 'Manston' roll along the embankment at Creech Bottom nearing the end of the outward journey in command of the 16:45 departure from Swanage to River Frome on 7th June 2024 the first day of the Swanage Railway Strictly Bulleid II Gala. Merchant Navy Class Pacific No. 35006 Peninsular and Oriental S.N. Co. is attached on the rear to work the train back to Swanage. This gala had eight of these magnificent engines working but the lamb in the field was not impressed!.
