GWR Charles Collett designed Castle Class No. 7029 Clun Castle seen on 11th May 2024 while celebrating 60 years since the same locomotive achieved the then-fastest-ever non-stop run from Plymouth to Bristol in 133 minutes 9 seconds. Unfortunately this was to be no record breaker as Clun Castle stalled on Hemerdon Bank, shortly after leaving Plymouth. Tyseley-based Class 47 No. D1755 was following light engine, so once attached and back under way, the train was able to catch up time.
