To fill in gaps in a one-train service, The Watercress line are running a shuttle between Alresford and Ropley. on 21st March 2024, Class 08 No. 08288 arrives at Ropley. The service train will head towards Alresford on the down platform as normal and then the shuttle would normally move over to the down platform, although on this occasion the next up train ran 'wrong line' to allow easier access for an oil top up to Manston.
