Freightliner Class 66/4 No. 66418 Patriot failed near Trent on 29th February 2024 when hauling the 15:12 Toton to Crewe engineering working, and was rescued by DRS Class 68 No. 68002 Intrepid which was on the 14:54 'light engine' working from Toton to Crewe but was recalled at Leicester, going to Trent under the code for a rescue locomotive. No. 68002 and 66418 are seen in twilight at Barrow on Trent with the 15:12 Toton to Crewe working running around 2 hours late.
