On 16th April 1980, Southern Region 2-HAL No. 022 passes Raynes Park. The SR had three specially converted electric units which were used by the Chief Mechanical and Electrical Engineer's Department to convey stores and spare parts between workshops and depots. Unit 022 was converted from 2-HAL stock at Stewarts Lane in 1970 and withdrawn in March 1983.
