Until 1982 the FO closed in the winter but with the opening of the new Furka Tunnel all year round operations commenced. At the westerrn end of the tunnel Class Ge4/4III No. 81 heads a car shuttle through the tunnel to Realp viewed from 10.32 Brig-Goschenen headed by Class Deh4/4II No. 94 on 28th February 994.
