On the tourist train from Cairns, Queensland a Queensland Rail late-1960s vintage Class-1720 diesel-electric locomotive 1744 (in special Dreamtime livery) stands with classmate 1738 at the rainforest township of Kuranda. Built to Queenslands 1067mm Cape-Gauge, these 1p locos used to operate Brisbane commuter services before displacement by electrification in the late-1970s.
