Having had a single daily direct service to London for many years Harrogate now enjoys six direct trains to King's Cross each weekday. on 22nd September 2023 LNER Class 800 Azuma No. 800110 heads through Pannal near Harrogate with the 13.26 Harrogate - King's Cross service. The bi-mode unit will run on diesel power as far as Leeds before swithching to electric power for the rest of the journey.
