On the 1st May 2023 DRS Class 66/4 No. 66424 'Driver Paul Scrivens' passes Alsager station at speed with the 05:54 Mossend Yard to Daventry Tesco freight service. The service had been rerouted from Crewe via Alsager and Kidsgrove to join the Manchester main line to Stoke and Stafford due to weekend engineering work south of Crewe.
