Hull Corporation tram No. 96 was originally built as an open-top double deck vehicle by Hurst Nelson in 1901. Cut down to a single-deck car in 1933, being used as a stores vehicle and snow plough. Following closure of the Hull tramway, the tram-car was moved to Leeds as store-car No. 6, where it worked until 1959. Eventually obtained by MTMS, the car was restored to it's present condition at Mode Wheel Workshops, Salford and has worked at Heaton Park since 1988.
