Built as a Porterbrook spot hire unit, Class 170/3 No. 170399 is captured at Sheffield working the Central Trains 0852 Liverpool Lime Street to Norwich service on 29th December 2006. The unit joined the Transpennine Express fleet circa 2008, being renumbered to No. 170309. By 2016, the unit had moved to Chilton Railways, becoming Class 168/3 No. 168329, and probably its final home!.
