Cardiff allocated Class 08 shunter No. 08953 keeps company with Depot mate Class 09 No. 97806 - the Severn Tunnel emergency train locomotive - at Godfrey Road Stabling Point, Newport on 27th June 1995.
No. 08953 was withdrawn in 2006 and scrapped at EMR, Attercliffe in 2012, while No. 97806 was withdrawn in 2010 and is preserved.
