On 8th December 2006, the Class 40 Preservation Societies No. 40145 leads the annual Scottish Railway Preservation Societies special to the Lincoln Christmas Market, the 0547 Linlithgow to Lincoln, 'The Link Undo', near Beckingham. West Coast Railways Class 33/0 No. 33029 is behind the Class 40.
