On the 20th December 2022, Class 331 No. 331002 passes Salford Crescent with the 0722 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service. This service usually calls at Salford Crescent, however because only one three-car set was rostered rather than the booked two, it was severely overcrowded leaving Bolton and travelled non-stop to Manchester Oxford Road.
