DRS Class 66/4 No. 66423 emerges from Gisburn Tunnel on 12th October 2022, with the 12.46 Carlisle Yard - Crewe Basford Hall engineers working comprising a rake of loaded JJA loaded autoballasters. The 157 yard tunnel was opened in 1880 and built at the insistence of Lord Ribblesdale who did not want the railway to cross his estate in case it frightened his horses, so a cut and cover tunnel was built instead.
