Nottingham Heritage Railway has not run trains during 2022 and hopes to be in operation again in April 2023. However, the Railway has held events such as the Autumn Road Transport day on 9th October 2022, held by Ruddington Station, when locomotives such as the operational Class 56 No. 56097, which has been on sale since mid 2022, could be viewed by the works, along with industrial steam locomotive boilers and Class 08 No. 08694.
