LMS Royal Scot Class 7P No. 46115 Scots Guardsman storms through Garforth station heading the 08:24 Carlisle to York on 17th September 2022. The 4-6-0 was in charge of the S&C 30th Anniversary Railtour, run by the West Coast Railway Company Ltd from Carnforth over the S&C to York. This was the fifth time this Summer that 46115 has come over to York; unusually though this tour was routed via Leeds rather than the previous tours which avoid the city and the busy trans Pennine line in favour of the path via Castleford. The NER designed cast and wrought iron footbridge in front of the skew road bridge dates from around the start of the last century and is a listed structure. The skew bridge itself carries the road traffic across the railway and was designed for a never built 4 track section of line.
