Following the imposition of a steam ban by Network Rail due to the fire risk the Fellsman Crewe - Carlisle via the S&C on 20th July 2022, was worked by Locomotive services Class 20s Nos. 20107 and 20096 with Class 47 No. 47828 on the rear. The return working, the 15.30 Carlisle - Crewe is seen between Settle and Settle Junction.
