In sweltering conditions the first Vintage Trains' Shakespeare Express of the new season from Birmingham Snow Hill to Stratford upon Avon and return on 17th July 2022, was routed both ways via Dorridge. Steam was substituted by diesel haulage in the form of Class 20 No. 20189, which necessitated a nose first return to Snow Hill, as pictured at Widney Manor.
