Further upgrading of the station at Spalding shows a new waiting shelter and information display equipment being installed. To the left is the lift shaft making platform 2 accessible to all. This should allow services to use this platform on down services instead of crossing over twice to call at platform 1. Once a large station of up-to 8 platforms the houses beyond stand on the site of the M&GN trackbed.
