On 22nd February 2022, WCRC Class 47s No. 47812 and 47815 stand in the goods loop at Hellifield with the 09.34 Carnforth - Hellifield Northern Belle empty stock working which was a test run ahead of the 2022 operating season. No. 47812 sports a Carnforth shed plaque based on the famous coal drop. Later the train returned to Carnforth via Blackburn and Preston.
