Taken through the windscreen of a Class 117 DMU on the approach to Reading HST Set No. 253001 (Power Car Nos. 43002 and 43003) as they were paired when first introduced is seen heading towards London Paddington with a service from Bristol Temple Meads on 6th July 1976.
