TPE through services have resumed through Manchester Victoria after recent closure due to engineering works in connection with the Trans Pennine Upgrade. On the 19th August 2021, two services pass each other with Class 802/2 No. 802212 forming a Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street while in the opposite direction, a Class 185 is about to depart with a Manchester Airport to Redcar Central service.
