Built by Brush in 1961 and numbered D0280 'Falcon', this Type 4 prototype was bought by BR in 1970, becoming Class 53 No. D1200. The locomotive is seen departs from Paddington on 6th July 1971 with a Bristol service. The locomotive was withdrawn in 1975 from Ebbw Junction depot, never receiving a TOPS number.
