The first 2021 operation of the Scarborough Spa Express took place on 27th May 2021. WCRC Class 37s Nos. 37685 Loch Arkaig and 37706 shatter the early morning calm at Hellifield Pond as they head for Skipton with the 07.40 Carnforth - Scarborough working which they would take as far as York before handing over to LMS Jubilee No. 45699 Galatea (disguised as LMS 4-6-0 No. 45562 Alberta) for the run to Scarborough.
