The last Class 90 built at Crewe Works No. 90050 is seen under construction at Crewe Works Open Day on 21st July 1990. Released to operation in November 1990 No. 90050 was stored after a fire in December 2004, and in 2021 remains at Crewe Basford Hall yard as a spare parts donor to other Class members. No. 90050 has now been in store for longer than it was in traffic.
