In Inter City Scotrail (Red Stripe) livery Class 47/4 No. 47642 "Strathisla", complete with the whisky distilleries coat of arms above the nameplate, passes Waverley West Signal Box alongside Edinburgh Waverley station on 7th February 1990. Since 1980 she had been allocated to Inverness TMD, confirmed by the Highland Stag Depot emblem on the bodyside. No. 47616 would transfer to Crewe Diesel Depot later in the year and give another 14 years service before withdrawl came in March 2004 with disposal taking place during July of the same year at Toton TMD.
