Double headed by a pair of Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway built locomotives, the 12:50 service from Heywood is seen on arrival at its destination of Rawtenstall on 6th March 2020, the opening day of the East Lancs Railway Spring Steam Gala. The leading locomotive is newly returned to service Class 23 0-6-0ST No. 51456 while the rain locomotive is Class 27 0-6-0 No. 52322, running as classmate No. 52345.
