DB Class 66187 is seen arriving at London Victoria Station on the evening of the 26th October 2019, working the late running (84L) 16:26, return leg of the Goldern Arrow Railtour from Canterbury West to London Victoria. Earlyer in the day, Steam Locomotive 70000 Britannia which was at the Helm of the Golden Arrow tour from Victoria, started to drop time, struggling with Addisive problems on the slippery leaf & rain soaked rails, until it came to a grinding halt at Bearstead, after struggling to ascend the 2 1/2 mile, 1/60 gradient of Bearstead Bank. Eventually the tour was rescued by Gbrfâ??s 66726 which banked on the rear assisting the Steam Locomotive up the steep gradient & eventually on to Canterbury West some. DBâ??s 66187 was scrambled LE from Hoo Junction for the return leg, which left Canterbury West but arrived back to the Victoria only 84L after an amended more direct route back to Capital.
