Virgin and Crosscountry-operated Class 221 and 220 Voyagers respectively, are pictured approaching Wichnor Junction on 5th July 2019. The Virgin Class 221 had just departed Barton-under-Needwood Depot heading for the WCML, via Alrewas,, while the CrossCountry unit was forming a service to Birmingham New Street and beyond. The railway is bi-directionally signalled here in the 'Down' direction to facilitate entrance and exit from the Depot.
