Locomotive No. 8 was delivered and put into operation in 1927. It was one of four high-pressure steam locomotives in Montenvers park, near Chamonix in the French Alps. After the electrification of the rail line in 1954, these locomotives were used for maintenance work, including snow removal and work on the power lines. The steam locomotives and their old trams would also run during historical events. Locomotive No. 8 was last used in 1979 and sold in 1984 to a public construction company. It is seen on display at Chamonix station on 3rd July 2019.
