Running through the stone-walled cuttings which characterise this section of the route, Strathclyde-liveried Class 314 No. 314216 approaches Queens Park from Crosshill with the 10:15 Cathcart Inner Circle service from Glasgow Central to Glasgow Central. These units are being progressively withdrawn from service as more Hitachi Class 385s enter service. Just as the south-side suburban routes were the last bastion of the Blue train Class 303s in Scotland, now the Class 314s are working out their last days here and on services to Gourock and Wemyss Bay.
