In the 1980s Tinsley Depot painted names onto their allocation of Class 37s, Class 45s and Class 47 locomotives. For Class 45/1 No. 45104 "The Warwickshire Fusilier" Tinsley Depot had made replica nameplates and shields which were removed on withdrawal in April 1988. However, during storage the identity of No. 45104 was changed to No. 46009 and given the name 'Old Dalby' (the place where No. 46009 was used in the crash-worthiness testing of a nuclear flask), as seen here at Tinsley on 17th July 1988.
