On 4th August 1968 BR Standard Class 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73069 was one of several locomotives used on the RCTS End of Steam Commemorative Tour in the Manchester and Blackburn areas. To commemorate this event 50 years later Classmate No. 73156 was renumbered as No. 73069 and is seen approaching Quorn on 4th August 2018 with a demonstration vans working at the Great Central Railway '50 Years since the end of BR steam' event.
