On 11th May 2018, the 09:31 Derby RTC to Derby RTC, via Skegness, test train was worked by Colas Class 37/0s Nos. 37219 and 37116 rather than the expected NMT HST set. The formation is seen rounding the tight curve at Firsby, adjacent to the former Firsby Junction where the former Boston to Grimsby line continued north. The curve radius was increased several years ago during the large track upgrade on the Boston - Skegness route.
