During 1990 a shortage of DMUs caused top and tail Class 20s to be substituted on services between Crewe and Matlock. On 4th September 1990 Class 20 No. 20007 is seen departing from Derby with a Matlock bound service. Withdrawn in 1993 No. 20007 survives in preservation.
