Indian Railways locomotive Class WDM-3A, sub-class R No. 16283, based at Malda Town (shed code MLDT), approaches a level crossing on the outskirts of Guwahati, a sprawling city beside the Brahmaputra River in the northeast Indian state of Assam, on 2nd December 2017. The loco is hauling passenger carriages on the busy route from Siliguri, a city which spans across the Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts in the Indian state of West Bengal.
