Two Fairburn Class 4MT 2-6-4T pass Darlington Station on 3rd August 1965 No. 42085 one of the last to be built under BR at Brighton in 1951 and No. 42213 one of the earliest LMS examples to be built at Derby in 1945. No. 42085 is preserved at the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, while No. 42213 was withdrawn in January 1966 after an accident at Hillhouse.
