Provincial Railways Class 154 No. 154002 recently arrived at Platform 4 at Crewe will form the 20.30 to Nottingham on 7th November 1991. 2 Class 154's were built as prototypes with different engines and transmissions before series production commenced and 154002 was the least reliable with its Rolls Royce engine and was subsequently re engine with the standard Cummins engine but was uprated to 90mph as a test bed for Class 158's. It was altered subsequently to Standard and became Class 150 No. 150002 and is still in service with GW Trains.
