In fading evening light at 9.20pm, DRs class 57 No. 57309 stands at Carnforth awaiting a path onto the west coast mainline with the 17.40 Chesterfield - Manchester Victoria returning Northern Belle excursion. Classmate No. 57307 Lady Penelope was on the rear on 9th June 2017.
