In the days before electrification when the Deltics were in the twilight of their careers, Class 55 No. 55011 Royal Northumberland Fusiliers arrives at Doncaster with a King's Cross - York semi-fast service on 2nd 1st July 1981. One of the ones that didn't make it into preservation No. 55011 was withdrawn in November 1981 and scrapped at Doncaster works a year later.
